The historic Cold War, although formally concluded by 1991, continues to widely and deeply influence, even shape the contours of, way we think talk about geopolitics geoeconomics in present time. Foreign policy professionals, journalists, scholars, producers consumers of popular culture readily turn tropes, frames, mental models derived sometimes very literally from this grand-historic episode. Thus, tend understand developments Sino-US relations today, first instance at least, through comparisons with intense superpower rivalry between United States Soviet Union bipolar world War.
